Clan was a local commerce platform I conceived in 2013-2014, connecting offline stores to compete against e-commerce giants. It was years ahead of its time — the idea maps almost exactly to what India's ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) is building today.
The Vision
Google Business profile integration, digital storefronts for local shops, chat-based ordering, and delivery agent integration. During COVID, it pivoted to help people find store availability nearby.
