Unstudious was my first real venture, founded in December 2013 around the mission of tackling book piracy in India. I started it after conversations with Rohit Kumar, the India head of Elsevier.
Early Traction
The concept got real attention: Matrix Partners reached out in December 2014 (Kevin said "check back later"), Tracxn covered it in their EdTech India report in January 2015, and we had SAIF Partners connections through Nikhil Ranjan.
Current Revival
After the original unstudious.com expired in 2021, I re-purchased unstudious.co in July 2025. The brand now focuses on learning products like Inkling (a React Native learning app) and a kids' learning platform.
